Annabel gave her kindness so effortlessly - it wasn’t so much what she did, as who she was.
Everyone here will have a story of Annabel’s kindness, of her generosity & of her beauty.
The contact each of us had with Annabel, whether lifelong or fleeting, we all remember it, and we remember it fondly.
In the spring Annabel and Tedd attended our wedding - they came to Newcastle all the way from Brighton.
We didn’t have a best man, we didn’t have a bridesmaid, there were no speeches, but we did have Annabel Giles’ Rubbish Raffle.
The Rubbish Raffle evolved over the years as Annabel hosted the annual comic relief fundraiser at the Comedy Cottage in Redhill. Each time she would raffle off, blindly to those buying tickets, a load of absolute shit she found lying around her own house.
On this occasion, she raised hundreds for the hospice that cared for my brother.
It was so kind & so much fun.
It was such a special gesture, and she will forever be a part of what our wedding day means to us.
If your life is to be limited in length, surely the one thing you can wish for is that your time here is valued.
That box was well and truly ticked by Annabel.
